Mount Vernon Middle School

Mount Vernon Middle School is the new home for 5th through 8th grade students at MVISD. Our 5th and 6th grade students are housed in the old "Intermediate" building and 7th and 8th grade students are in the building formerly called "Junior High". We now operate officially as one single campus, yet maintaining two offices and points of contact for parents. We are excited to offer electives that meet the varying interests of a wide array of students and allow students an opportunity to learn in exciting and meaningful ways. Technology integration is increasing annually and it is a goal of our campus to enhance learning through technology whenever possible. We have "Met Standard" each previous year of the latest state accountability system and achieved a combined 7 distinction measures for the 2016-2017 school year. Our staff takes pride in attempting to meet the basic needs of students first and then developing relationships in the classroom to increase learning.
